Question 1

Which books do I need for my Florida contractor exam?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your license: each exam has its own list of DBPR-approved reference books. The quickest way to get the right ones is a Book Set for your trade, which groups the books for that exam in a single order.

Question 2

Can I really bring these books into the exam?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Florida contractor exams at Pearson VUE are open-book, so you bring approved reference books into the testing center. The catch is the clock: the exam is timed, and candidates who can't find answers quickly run out of time.

Question 3

Why buy the book tabs?

Accepted Answer

Tabs mark the sections you'll look up most, so you flip straight to the answer instead of searching page by page. On a timed exam, that speed is often the difference between passing and failing.

Question 4

Do I need an account to order?

Accepted Answer

No. Most products can be bought without creating an account: just fill in your details at checkout.

Question 5

Can I return a book?

Accepted Answer

No. Due to educational material licensing restrictions, all book sales are final and we can't accept returns or exchanges. If you're unsure which books you need, call or text us before ordering and we'll confirm the list for your license.

Question 6

Should I buy the books alone or with a course?

Accepted Answer

The books give you the answers; the course teaches you to find them fast. Our Complete Course + Books + Tabs plans ship the books and tabs with the full exam prep course, which is how our students reach a 91% first-time pass rate.
